Maple Frosting Recipe

1-1/2 cups Confectioners Sugar
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
3 tablespoons soften butter

Mix together until smooth.

Yield: enough for an 8 inch layer cake


Maple Glazed Bacon

Lay bacon out on cookie sheet. Drizzle with pure Maple syrup.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes


Maple Cheesecake

1 9" Graham cracker pie crust
1 8oz cream cheese (room Temperature)
1 Can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
Topping: 1 cup Maple syrup
½ cup water
1 egg
1 ½ tablespoon cornstarch mixed in
¼ cup water

Beat cream cheese until fluffy, add condensed milk, lemon juice and maple syrup, beat well. Pour into prepared piecrust and chill.

Topping: Dissolve cornstarch in ¼ cup water, add egg and ½ cup water. Beat well. Add to Maple syrup, bring all to a boil stirring well with a whisk constantly to avoid sticking. Cook until thickened. Cool and spread on top of pie. Garnish with chopped nuts if desired. Chill & serve.


Maple Oatmeal Cookies

¾ c butter
3 cups quick oatmeal
1 c Vermont Maple Syrup
1 ¼ c all purpose flour
½ c granulated sugar
½ tsp salt (optional)
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
Add ½ cup of any or all of the following: chopped nuts, raisins, chocolate chips Coconut

Preheat oven to 350° F. Beat together butter, syrup, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add oats. Mix together and add flour, salt and soda. Mix well. Drop by rounded Teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes.
