Maple Apple Bars – Cecile’s  Recipe 
1 cup maple sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 cup walnuts
2 cups unbleached flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups chopped apples
1 tsp vanilla

Stir by hand when mixing. Do not use an electric mixer. Bake in a 9x13 pan, greased and floured. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool  - cut into bars.


Maple Cookie Squares

1 cup sugar
1 cup Maple syrup
1 cup oil
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1-1/3 cup unbleached flour
1-½ tsp baking powder
2 cups quick oats
1 tsp salt
chopped nuts if desired

Combine sugar, syrup and oil, add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt add to batter. Add oatmeal and nuts bake 350 for 30-35 min. Use greased 9x13 pan.


Maple Marvel Bars
1 cup white sugar
1-½ stick butter, cream together
2  eggs
1 cup Vermont Maple syrup
1 ½ cup unbleached flour
1 ½ tsp baking soda
2 cups quick oatmeal
1 cup chopped walnuts

Mix together bake in 13x9 greased pan at 350 for 40-45 min.


Maple Oatmeal Bread

1 cup quick oatmeal
2 cups boiling water
1/2 cup Vermont Maple Syrup
2 tbsp shortening
5  cups King Arthur flour
1 egg
3 tsp salt
1 pkg dry yeast dissolved in ½ cup warm water

Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Add syrup and shortening. Let cool. Mix in salt, egg and yeast. Beat in flour until smooth. Let rise 40 min. Put into 2 baking tins. When dough is about even to top of tins, bake at 400 till done (about 30-40 min) Remove from tins to cooking rack. Excellent with butter and maple cream!


Maple Frosting Recipe

1-1/2 cups Confectioners Sugar
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
3 tablespoons soften butter

Mix together until smooth.

Yield: enough for an 8 inch layer cake


Maple Glazed Bacon

Lay bacon out on cookie sheet. Drizzle with pure Maple syrup.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes


Maple Cheesecake

1- 9" graham cracker pie crust
1- 8 oz. cream cheese (room Temperature)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
Topping: 1 cup Maple syrup
cup water
1 egg
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed in
cup water

Beat cream cheese until fluffy, add condensed milk, lemon juice and maple syrup, beat well. Pour into prepared piecrust and chill.

Topping: Dissolve cornstarch in cup water, add egg and cup water. Beat well. Add to Maple syrup, bring all to a boil stirring well with a whisk constantly to avoid sticking. Cook until thickened. Cool and spread on top of pie. Garnish with chopped nuts if desired. Chill & serve.
